Taco Seasoning Blend

  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano flakes
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt (less if using fine table salt)
  • 1 tsp black pepper


  1. In a small bowl, combine all spices and whisk until well combined. Sprinkle over ground beef, chicken, or turkey with a splash of water while browning the protein. Once meat is fully cooked through, taste for seasoning and adjust salt and pepper as needed.

Recipe Notes

Double or triple the recipe to always have it on hand! Use one recipe portion for one pound of protein.
