White and Green Bean Casserole

A little tasty twist on the classic holiday side dish, White and Green Bean Casserole! This dish has all of the classic favorites, but with a few add-ins like S&W® White Beans and balsamic onions. This casserole is best known as a Thanksgiving side, but why not enjoy it other times throughout the year? This is the perfect cold weather side dish that can be enjoyed all winter.

By cooking down the onions, they get nice and caramelized which brings out that delicious sweetness, and the addition of the balsamic vinegar adds a really nice acidic tang to balance out the rich gravy.

Once the onions are ready, it’s a “one bowl” recipe. Just mix all the ingredients together, top with those classic savory crispy onions, and bake to bubbly perfection!

The white beans add a great source of fiber and protein. A satisfying and filling side dish if you have any vegetarians you’re feeding. This Green and White Bean Casserole would pair really great with my Caramelized Onion Chicken Meatballs which also have aromatic flavors of fall! Enjoy!
